Henri Job
co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Prior to co-founding SPHINX, Henri served as Executive in charge of Business Development and Strategy at Gaz Du Cameroun. He multiplied sales by 8 in 2 years and led the development of the Logbaba (30 MW) and Bassa (20 MW) plants, which were commissioned in less than a year after the start of negotiations. Before Gaz Du Cameroun, Henri worked with The AES Corporation in Arlington, Virginia and Douala in Business Development, Restructuring and Commercial functions. As a developer with AES, he worked on greenfield projects and acquisitions across numerous technologies and fuels including natural gas, biomass and hydro for a combined capacity of 2185 MW. In 2007, he participated in the €240 million financing for the refurbishment of generation, transmission and distribution assets of AES Sonel. Prior to joining AES, Henri was a Fixed Income Trader with Cantor Fitzgerald in New York. Henri is a speaker at conferences on power and monetization of gas fields in Africa. He holds an MBA from the Wharton Business School and a Civil Engineering degree from Technische Universitaet Dresden in Germany.
Igor Klebanov
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Klebanov is responsible for structuring debt and equity financing at SPHINX. He is also Managing Partner of Glanstone Capital. He has 15 years of experience in principal investments, mergers & acquisitions, operational turnarounds, and corporate restructuring. Prior to founding Glanstone Capital, Igor served as a senior executive at two large private equity firms; on the Corporate Development / M&A staff at General Electric; as a management consultant to Fortune 500 companies and private equity firms in the Corporate Finance & Strategy Practice of McKinsey & Co., as an investment banker focused on M&A and restructuring at JP Morgan, and as CEO of a business-to-business e-commerce company. Igor holds an MBA from the Wharton Business School (Palmer Scholar), an MSc from the London School of Economics, and a BA in in Economics from the Johns Hopkins University (summa cum laude).
Eric Kacou
Business Development Director
Mr. Kacou heads SPHINX’s entry into new markets. He is also co-founder and CEO of Entrepreneurial Solutions Partners (ESPartners). Prior to starting ESPartners, Eric served as Managing Director of OTF Group, a competitiveness consultancy focused on emerging markets. An expert in post-conflict economic reconstruction, he led the Rwanda National Innovation and Competitiveness (RNIC) Program. The RNIC is credited with helping revitalize Rwanda’s economy and fuelling the growth. Eric has also served leaders of over a dozen low-income nations including Haiti, Uganda, and Southern Sudan as well as development partners such as World Bank, IFC and USAID. Eric started his career as a strategy consultant with Monitor Company advising Fortune 500 executives. Prior to being a Mason Fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy School, Eric earned his MBA at the Wharton School, and serves on the Wharton Executive Board for Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Eric’s first book, Entrepreneurial Solutions for Prosperity for BOP markets, was published by Wharton School Publishing and has already received coverage from international media such as FT, CNBC and SABC. The World Economic Forum in Davos honored Eric as a Young Global Leader.
